Art For Humans is very pleased to announce that the YES MEN have accepted an invitation to display work in the AFH MySpace FRIEND COLLECTIVE Project ..1 "STOP FUCKING PRAYING FOR THE APOCALYPSE!!"

The YES MEN currently are featured at Artkrush.com in a "One to Watch" article, but they have received prodigious media attention over the past few years for their poignant "hijinks," as they like to call them. Due to the political nature of their activities, & their remarkable facility for cracking media access codes, the YES MEN are more likely to be written up in NEWSWEEK or the FINANCIAL TIMES, than in a visual arts monthly. YES MEN Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno have grafted "performance art" to viral activism to spawn projects that flame corporate and political abuse of power, using the same tools and tactics the bad guys use to form, suppress or manipulate public opinion. Targets of YES MEN hijinks include DOW Chemical, the WTO, Bush and an assortment of "the nastiest, most unreconstructable criminals in the world." (quote from the YES MEN website -PM) The YES MEN also shed light on the support structure and "creatives" that help the powerful to create propaganda in support of their activities.
