Yes Men to Receive Annenberg Prize for Art and Social Change
Published: September 30, 2009
The Yes Men are know for posing as corporate or government spokespeople to gain access to high-profile events, where they often make shocking comments about workers, consumers, and what they believe to be the real meaning behind an organization's ideology. At the ceremony, they plan to give an “interactive lecture.” As part of Creative Time’s commitment to presenting public art in Times Square, it will showcase throughout October video art by three emerging artists, Bestué-Vives, Martha Colburn, and Gonzalo Lebrija. The works can be seen at 44 1/2, a large, high-definition screen located on Broadway between 44th and 45th Streets.
