Srdja Popovic est cofondateur et personnage-clé du mouvement d'opposition serbe « Otpor! » dont les méthodes non-violentes ont poussé Slobodan Milosovic à la démission en 2000. Après la révolution, cet activiste a été membre de l'Assemblée nationale serbe avant de créer en 2003 l'organisme CANVAS (Center for Applied Non-Violent Actions and Strategies), organisme reconnu internationalement. Popovic et CANVAS publient des livres, organisent des ateliers et partagent ainsi leurs connaissances stratégiques avec d'autres activistes de mouvements démocratiques et non-violents du monde entier.

Popovic a traduit plusieurs ouvrages traitant de la résistance non-violente comme car exemple le livre de Gene Sharp « De la dictature à la démocratie ». Plus récemment CANVAS a travaillé avec le Mouvement du 6 avril en Égypte et avec d'autres mouvements révolutionnaires non-violents au Moyen-Orient. L'ouvrage le plus connu de l'organisation, « La lutte non-violente en 50 points », a été traduit en 16 langues et a été télécharger 17000 fois pendant les manifestations de 2009 en Iran.

Srdja Popovic is a cofounder and key figure of the Serbian resistance movement "Otpor!", whose led  Slobodan Milosevic in 2000 to the resignation in a non-violent way.  After the revolution, the activist became a member of the Serbian National Assembly for three years until he created in 2003 renowned organization CANVAS (Centre for Applied Non-Violent Actions and Strategies).  With a transfer of strategic knowledge and tips in non-violent resistance, in the form of books and workshops, Popovic and CANVAS support democratic nonviolent movements worldwide. Popovic also translated literature about non-violent resistance and amongst other Gene Sharp's work "From Dictatorship to Democracy".

Recently CANVAS works with the movement of the 6th April in Egypt and with other non-violent revolutionary movements in the Middle East. The manual of the organization "Nonviolent Struggle, 50 Crucial Points" has been translated into 16 languages and during the protests in Iran in 2009 about 17.000 times downloaded.

Le mouvement FEMEN. Women Power est un collectif controversé d'activistes ukrainiennes qui attirent l'attention des médias à travers leurs actions provocantes. Crée en 2008, FEMEN se bat originellement pour l'autodétermination de la femme en Ukraine. Sous la maxime "Notre dieu est la femme, notre mission est la contestation, notre arme est notre poitrine !" ces activistes protestent les seins nus contre le tourisme sexuel, contre les agences matrimoniales et l'intolérance politique. Ces femmes souhaitent créer un mouvement féministe au niveau international et planifie également une entrée en politique. FEMEN montre son soutien aux mouvements anti-Moubarak et anti-Poutine, et s'investissent pour la libération des Pussy Riot.

FEMEN Movement. Women Power ist ein umstrittenes Kollektiv ukrainischer Aktivistinnen, die mit provokanten Aktionen in der Öffentlichkeit Aufsehen erregen. 2008 in Kiew gegründet, kämpfen sie vor allem für die Selbstbestimmung der Frauen in ihrem Heimatland. Unter der Maxime "Our God is woman, our mission is protest, our weapons are bare breasts!" protestieren sie barbusig gegen Sextourismus, Heiratsagenturen und politische Intoleranz. Die jungen Frauen wollen zur international bedeutendsten feministischen Bewegung werden und planen auch als Partei aktiv zu werden. Femen solidarisierten sich mit den Protesten gegen Mubarak oder Putin und setzten sich zuletzt auch für die Freilassung von Pussy Riot ein.

FEMEN movement. Women Power is a controversial collective of Ukrainian activists that attracts public attention with provocative actions. Created in 2008, FEMEN fights originally for the self-determination of women in Ukraine. Les Yes Men, célèbres détracteurs de la mondialisation, ont déjà pris de court quelques grosses entreprises avec leur activisme subversif et anarchique. Une de leurs méthodes créatives de résistance non-violente consiste à tromper les médias grand public. Les membres du groupe aiment se faire passer pour des représentants de multinationales et caricaturent par la même occasion leurs objectifs avec des revendications exagérées.  Ils appellent leur action "correction d'identité" («identity correction»).

Die weltberühmten Globalisierungskritiker Yes Men aus den USA haben bereits einige Großkonzerne durch ihren anarchistischen und subversiven Aktivismus in Verlegenheit gebracht. Eine ihrer kreativen Methoden des gewaltlosen Widerstands ist es, die Mainstream-Medien  bewußt in die Irre zu führen.  Dazu geben sich die  Mitglieder der Gruppe gern als Repräsentanten internationaler Konzerne aus und karikieren mit übertriebenen Forderungen auf Konferenzen deren Ziele. Sie selbst bezeichnen dies als "Identitätskorrektur" ("identity correction").

The world-famous detractors of globalization named Yes Men from the United States have already embarrassed some major corporations with their anarchist and subversive activism. One of their creative methods of nonviolent resistance is to deliberately mislead the mainstream media. Group members like to adopt certain roles of representatives of international corporations and to caricature their goals in conferences exaggerating with their claims. John Jackson est auteur, fondateur et directeur de nombreuses associations humanitaires. Avec Steve Crawshaw, il a co-écrit "Petits actes de rebellion", un recueil de 90 histoires qui démontrent que le courage, la persévérance et la finesse d'esprit peuvent changer le monde. Depuis plus de vingt ans, il organise en tant que vice-président de Social Media (MTV Networks International) des campagnes internationales pour les Droits de l'Homme qui se focalisent sur l'Asie, l'Afrique et l'Amérique latine.
