Thats the guy from the movie "The Yes Men"! Those guys are a scream. He
posed as a WTO board member on CNN international and said we could
bring back slavery? They also hacked into some talking G.I. Joe doll
before they were released to stores and made them say things like "Does
my hair hi-lites match my shoes?" Funny DVD if you haven't seen it,
rent it. |
The Yes Men are so so cool. They're fabulous. |
Works for me. |
One of the funniest parts of "The Yes Men" was when they did one of
their pitches for a bunch of college students, who were outraged. All
these corporate audiences fall for it hook line and sinker, but a bunch
of college kids still have enough common sense to say "no way" |
Great prank. |
I'm not even sure the college students would have caught onto them had
they not been trying to sell burgers made out of recycled human shit. |
The Yes Men do good work. |
What a good idea. Performance-art-protest. |
That name seemed weird so I fired up the Internet Anagram Server. |
Is the jerk impersonating our president part of this crowd? |
When a Yes Man posed as a Dow Chemical spokesman apoligizing and
promising compensation for the Bhopal massacre,Dow's stock price
dropped almost immediatly. The spirit of Abbie Hoffman lives in the Yes
Men. |
Of course, what makes the joke is that every single thing the Yes Man
said was being done, is something that under a moral president (say, Al
Gore) WOULD have been done. |
Have you ever seen Mark Thomas? he does something very similar but a bit more in-your-face. |
