On Wednesday, June 6, activists reported at least 80 people were killed in a 'massacre' in Qubair, a tiny village in the province of Hama with a reported population of less than 150. This massacre is the second reported in Syria in less than two weeks. In May, over 100 people, including dozens of women and children, were killed in Houla, Homs province. The Syrian government denied opposition accusations that they were responsible for the reported massacre as "absolutely baseless".
