In just the past two days, Apple Computer
said it's cutting and running from a fledgling tech services operation
in India, while IBM announced plans to invest a further $6 billion in
the country over the next three years. These can't both be smart
business decisions, can they?

Good news for fans of Microsoft's OneCare.
The anti-virus package is little more than a week old, and it has
already passed its first test: It has caught 4,500-plus viruses in the
wild, earning a Virus Bulletin VB100% logo its first time out.
Interesting, though, among June's failures were some of the products
whose scanning engines will be used by Microsoft's newest security
effort, the Antigen line of Exchange-based security tools.
