The Yes Men Fix the World (U.S.)

Opening March 25

Documentary. Directed by Andy Bichlbaum. Two guys work together to combine political activism, performance art, and the love of a good prank in the name of demanding that the private sector take responsibility for the damage it has done to the world. Bichlbaum and Bonanno are the film's "Yes Men" who specialize in setting up realistic-looking mock websites that claim to represent famous and powerful multinational corporations, and when they're contacted to speak on behalf of the companies, they deliver absurd satirical presentations that sometimes fool their audiences into believing they've seen the real thing.

But problems arise when they meet in San Francisco and she decides not to reveal her true identity.

The resulting governing body exists in a bubble so far removed from the grim realities of the Iraq War that it fails to properly assess the needs of the people. In this fictional thriller set during the U.S.-led occupation of Baghdad, director of the Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum reunite with actor Matt Damon for the story of an officer who joins forces with a senior CIA officer to unearth evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
