week for a four-show run in "Fever! The Music of Miss Peggy Lee," at the Prince Music Theater (1412 Chestnut). The show stars Greco, his wife/singer Lezlie Anders and The Benny Goodman Tribute Band and plays Jan. 15-17.

Greco gets to town Sunday and plans to visit his childhood home at 20th and Chadwick streets; his alma mater South Philadelphia High School; the Settlement Music School, where he studied, and his star on the Philadelphia Walk of Fame on South Broad Street.

He said yesterday that he plans to pop by Passyunk Avenue near Mifflin Street where his father, "Papa Joe," had run Joe Greco's Records. There a classmate of Greco's, a young singer named Alfred Cocozza, used to hang out but never buy anything. "My father used to say, 'Freddy, are you gonna buy something or are you gonna leave?' " Years later when Cocozza, now a famous tenor known as Mario Lanza, stopped by, "there must have been 800 people outside trying to get into the store," Greco recalls.

No musical slouch himself, Greco, singer and pianist, was signed by Benny Goodman when he was 16 years old as piano player and arranger for Goodman's band. Peggy Lee, whose music Greco is here performing, also sang with Goodman's band, but the pair didn't work together.

Ana Ortiz parties with family

"Ugly Betty" actress Ana Ortiz was in town at the weekend Three Kings party at the Northern Liberties home of her father, former Councilman Angel Ortiz, and her stepmother, Lydia E. Hernandez-Velez, who was recently named executive director of the Eastern Pennsylvania chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Ana Ortiz can also now be seen on the cover of Philadelphia Row Home magazine.

Misstallica to rock JB's, 'MMR

Although Metallica plays the Wachovia Center Jan. 17, some area rock fans are more excited for the performance by Misstallica, an all-girl Metallica cover band who will play Jan. 31 at Johnny Brenda's (Frankford & Girard).

Sabbra Cadabra, the excellent Black Sabbath cover act, are on the bill, booked by Philadelphia magazine's Victor Fiorillo.

Misstallica, comprising five graduates from the Paul Green School of Rock - Gina Randazzo, Allie Thrower, Gina Gleason, Teddi Tarnoff and Kaleen Reading - are all between 17-22 years old. This is their first performance under this moniker. The group formed as Metallic--t, then changed their name to Clitallica for an appearance on 93.3 WMMR's Preston & Steve show, but one of the girl's mom's didn't care for that name, (or the first one we're sure), so the ladies settled on Misstallica. They'll be on Preston & Steve Jan. 29 where listeners can request a song and they will perform it live in studio.

Actress Jane Seymour will appear next month at the Wentworth Gallery in the Court at the King of Prussia Mall, where her paintings will be showcased and available for purchase. Seymour will visit the gallery from 7-9 p.m. Feb. 20 and 5-8 p.m. Feb. 21.

Gators gather for big game

The Philadelphia Gator Club, the University of Florida's local alumni association, will gather at Field House (1150 Filbert) tomorrow night to watch the BCS championship game against Oklahoma. The group has met all year at the bar to watch Gator football, averaging close to 100 fans each time. For info, phillygators. com.

Not 'Yes Man,' but Yes Men

West Philly's Scott Beibin is off to Sundance Film Festival with longtime collaborators The Yes Men. There the political/social satirist activists will attend the premiere of their new movie, "The Yes Men Fix The World."

Beibin was recently involved with The Yes Men and others in distributing 100,000 copies of a parody edition of the New York Times dated July 4, 2009, which proclaimed the end of the war in Iraq, and other optimistic views. *
