Andy Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno are two men who can not take no for an answer.
They pose as top executives of corporations they hate and wearing thrift-store suits, they lie their way into business conferences and use extreme and shocking ways to show the danger of letting greed run the world.
Known as the Yes Men, the pair pull off a number of pranks that open their eyes to exactly how much danger we all face.
Andy pretends to be a Dow Chemical spokesman, gets on BBC Worldwide and announces that after 20 years of denial, Dow will finally clean up the site of the Bhopal Catastrophe - the largest industrial accident in history.
The result is incredible and as people worldwide celebrate, Dow's stock value loses $2 billion.
They prove that people want to do the right thing, but the market decides that it cannot.
Throughout the film, the Yes Men try to show their corporate audience the damage that is being done to the planet.
The Yes Men Fix The World takes viewers into the twisted underworld of the free-market think tanks, corporate beasts and profit-hungry conglomerates as they
discover the real source of the scary logic that is destroying the planet.
The film will be screened at The Corn Exchange, Newbury, on Saturday, August 22, at 6.15pm. Sunday, August 23, at 4pm. Wednesday, August 26, at 6pm. And Thursday, August 27, at 2pm.
