The Yes Men
THE YES MEN FIX THE WORLD is a screwball true story about two gonzo political activists who, posing as top executives of giant corporations, lie their way into big business conferences and pull off the world's most outrageous pranks. This peer-to-peer special edition of the film is unique: it is preceded by an EXCLUSIVE VIDEO of the Yes Men impersonating the United States Chamber of Commerce. Because the Yes Men are being sued for this stunt, p2p is the only way that this film will get seen. Please spread the word!

In any case, I love a good fight and Yes Men definitely brought it on. Punkinator, Talisman, and shikigami, I think a litmus test might help. What if you, as a 'prankster" went into a left-leaning organization and pilfered your particular ethos as a "prank". That movie would be totally awesome! So funny to see Greenpeace say, "we believe Whale populations have breeched capacity" or something funny like that. Then you could show all the damage they do to Japanese boats. You could show how a group like the ACLU or Amnesty International viewpoints are callous and deceptive as they fight to free people from tyranny or oppression and stuff. That would be the best. Or you could go to the people whose lives are being altered by corporate fleeing, war, hunger, whatever and just have fun with them. Offer them a house, healthcare or something, a job or just anything, you know...and then just take long shots with the camera after you tell them you are just making it up and ask them to try to explain why they would want that for their family or community or whatever. A riot!!! email me when you guys copyright it and make a full length DVD that you will only sell for large amounts of cash. I can get behind that kind of message!
That's not the ultimate point: The corporations responsible for releasing tons of CO2 are NOT denying global warming at all. Instead, they're trying to brainwash people into thinking that (potential) global warming can be a good thing, and that we shouldn't worry about the consequences of their insatiable greed.
This is the same stance they hold on a ton of other environmental/health issues (many of which are discussed in this very movie). Global warming is just one area of concern the don't-mind-us bullshit routine is being applied to, and even if there is no global warming, doing something about ethics and regulations in today's market would solve a lot more problems than that.
As far as a free market economy, I personally think this country is good on that. I think Obama has done a horrible job, and I think Bush was fine, he just didnt stand up for himself in the face of criticism
Good luck, from a brazillian friend :)
