Why, look, it's the prime minister! And he's on the World Economic Forum website! Ooh, nice logo. But, um, wait...

Just ahead of the five-day event in Davos, Switzerland, it looks like someone's been funnin' with Canada using phantom websites, just like the Yes Men did in Copenhagen:



It started with this at-first legit-looking press release with video links of world leaders purportedly giving "pre-interview policy statements" on how to end the "injustices that perpetuate poverty and create conditions that threaten the survival of our species."

Watch Prime Minister Stephen Harper's "video" above and you'll soon get a sense something's devious in Davos. 

Click on the others and you'll also see they're all bogus. Bill Clinton's voiceover is pretty impressive as far as the subtle art of mimicry goes, while the Queen has some reverb/empty hall effect going on as Her Dubbedness waxes on colonialism and being really rich.  

For those not familiar with phantom sites, here's the WEF's real website. Then here's the phantom. You can see the subtle difference in the url. Sneaky, eh? Talk about a pie in the fa...Ok, maybe we shouldn't go there just yet, as we are all still reeling from Terror.
