Protest
Moorlock writes in with some not-quite-new links to some not-quite-over-circulated mischief: "One of ®TMark's parody web sites, World Trade Organization / GATT, so smoothly parodied the real WTO site that the organizers of the Conference on International Services in Salzburg, Austria mistakenly invited a hacktivist from the site to speak at the session on international trade. Hilarious hijinks ensued as the speaker - 'Dr. Bichlbauer' - made a few modest proposals (the essential thrust of his speech appeared to be that Italians have a lesser work ethic than the Dutch, that Americans would be better off auctioning their votes in the Presidential election to the highest bidder, and that the primary role of the WTO was to create a one-world culture,' one conferencee complained). Naturally, 'Dr. Bichlbauer' got pied." Now, if he'd actually been pied by clueless Biotic tossers, that would have been funny.

How did the audience respond to this? It would be great if there was a audio or video feed of this on the net.

Actually, Dr. Bichlbauer is no longer with us, according to this NY Times story I took to start a thread at K5 , where the story was posted but not extensively discussed. I'm not sure if I could recycle it to post my questions here but maybe the link is enough.
